More experimentation with mod roc, such a great medium. I have been trying to get some more texture into my pieces and lift it from the surface to create some interesting shadows.

While out walking my dog, I found the most beautiful seeds (I am not sure what they are called, if anyone knows, please let me know). They have three layers to them with seeds between each layer. The middle layer is very shimmery and translucent. I was inspired to include these into the images for additional interest and keep the tones natural.

I’ve just spent the week tidying up my studio. I took some time to have a look through my sketchbooks and some experimental images I created over the past couple of years and thought I’d share them here. So many different materials and so much inspiration to create more… watch this space.
