Inspired by the incredible colours of a sandstone rock I found at Aberdour beach in Fife.
The painting was initially going to be a sky with clouds, I then started adding mountains using my trusty palette knife.
Inspiration from my travels in Hoi An, Vietnam. There were beautifully coloured lanterns everywhere to celebrate the New Year.
The inspiration for this painting was to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. All proceed of sale were donated to ‘Poppy Scotland’.
